Blithe Spirit - What's it all about - Continues

Each member of the cast of CPP's production of Blithe Spirit - a farce by Noel Coward, directed by Frith Harwood - has agreed to answer 5 questions that will help the reader know what to expect when coming to see the play.

Next up is Catherine C. Eppler  who lives in Pineville.  She graduated in accounting from LSU and worked in various accounting and auditing positions over the years. She owned and operated The Gold Mind bookstore and gift shop in Pineville. A former CPP Board Member, she played Anne Stanton in the Readers Theatre production of All The King's Men in 2010. She enjoys playing tennis, reading, playing guitar, and traveling.  She has 2 sons, Mitch, a junior at LSU in Baton Rouge, and Blake, a junior at PHS.

1. Who do you play in Blithe Spirit?
Violet Bradman, wife of Dr. George Bradman.

2. Describe your character in 3 words
                          Married, traditional, kind

3. Favorite Scene to play - Favorite line
Act 1 Scene 1.   It's funny to think of people in the spirit world being irritable, isn't it? I mean, one can hardly imagine it, can one?

4. Through your character's eyes - what is Blithe Spirit about?
On an evening at the Condomine's lovely country home, an innocent seance conducted as research for Charles' newest book results in one of the most scintillating evenings George and I have had the good fortune to experience in ages!

5. What do you hope audiences will take away from the play?
I hope audiences leave the theatre with a stomach ache.... from laughing at Noel Coward's spectacular dialogue .... and a yearning for more live theatre!
