Clybourne Park turned heads and elicited a lot of nervous (and sometimes uproarious) laughter
when it won the Tony in 2012. Now, City Park Players is bringing this
Pulitzer Prize-winning show to Alexandria. Open auditions will be
held at the Kress Theatre, Saturday, May 16, beginning at 10am, and Monday, beginning at 6pm.
Clybourne
Park spans 50 years covering ideas of community and race in the face of
changing times and demographics. Actors will have the opportunity to
take on 2 roles, one in 1959 (Act 1), and another in 2009 (Act 2).
There are roles for 3 females & 5 males, with specific roles for an
African American male and female.
Auditions
will begin with monologues and then continue to readings of scenes. If
you don't have a prepared monologue we will have options for you.
