James Goldman's larger-than-life characters are the main ingredients of his 1966 play The Lion In Winter. England's royal family, King Henry II, Queen Eleanor, on furlough from a 10 year imprisonment imposed by her husband, and their 3 sons, are wintering at their castle retreat in the countryside of Chinon, France, at Christmas time in 1183. Their hotly emotional familial relationships set against the bitter backdrop of a severe winter, are seasoned with gnerous dashes of sharp wit and peppered with juicy chunks of intrigue, adultery and political wrangling. Directed by Diane Falcone we applaud our tireless cast which includes Tim Landry, Theresa Louviere, Jerry Havens, Ty Cedars, Eric Goodman, Karen Slatten and Britton Patton.
