What People are Saying about Almost, Maine

“What a fun and outstanding show! Each member of the cast really plays their parts so well. Alexandria is so rich in talent.” Dave Curry

“We spend summers in Maine.  All the conversations in this play could really happen there.  There are a lot of quirky characters in Maine.  Really enjoyed the show!”  Jerry and Eileen Neal

“We really enjoyed it. It was not just one play, it was 8 smaller plays.  We were impressed with the talent shown on stage.  ” Mike and Jane Dorman

“After hearing a brief description of the play, I was surprised how much I enjoyed it.  Each vignette was distinctive – I was never bored!” Ruth Weinzettle

“The style of writing is different and I really liked it.  It made me laugh, it made me sad, it made me think seriously. There was great chemistry between the actors in each of the scenes and all the acting was well done.” Mark Weinzettle

City Park Players is pleased to present the last weekend of performances of the play written by John Cariani, Almost, Maine.

On a cold, clear, moonless night in the middle of winter, all is not quite what it seems in the remote, mythical town of Almost, Maine. As the northern lights hover in the star-filled sky above, Almost's residents find themselves falling in and out of love in unexpected and often hilarious ways. Knees are bruised. Hearts are broken. But the bruises heal, and the hearts mend "almost" in this delightful midwinter night's dream.  Directed by Diane Falcone – Almost, Maine is a play intertwining 9 separate stories that occur at precisely the same moment. The cast includes Candice Carr, Tillie Falcone, Jeff Goelz, Joshua Goodnight, Melissa Savage, Bob Savage, Carey Thompson, Dann Eudy, Jr. and Jim Weinzettle.
